The Pineapple Agency is an experiential marketing services agency in Denver, Colorado with a deep background in trade shows, festival activations, mobile marketing tours, pop-ups and is truly anything but ordinary. With clients ranging from Bud Light, Google, Adidas, Michelin, Under Armour, Wrangler Converse, Coca-Cola and more, they faced an unprecedented forced pivot during the COVID-19 crisis and came to CK Collective to help with new business, sales, and value proposition engagement. They knew it would be a trying few months and needed a sales professional to help them navigate and engage clients in a new way. To do this, they knew they had to start thinking outside the box.

Intel.

Facing an unprecedented pandemic in the first half of 2020 (and beyond), The Pineapple Agency saw numerous clients cancel their marketing and activation plans until further notice. The Pineapple Agency, who landed on Event Marketers Top 100 ‘It’ List in both 2019 and 2020 knew they needed to do something different. They couldn’t just wait this whole pandemic-thing out. They had to pivot, shift focus, and approach clients in safe and sustainable way that inspired and encouraged them to continue with their experiential marketing plans and ideas into late 2020 and early 2021.

Tactics.

In order to garner the attention of clients from an experiential marketing agency in the middle of a global pandemic, CK Collective worked diligently with the content creation and marketing team at The Pineapple Agency to put forth thought-provoking content about the pandemic and how teams can adapt and pivot. With safety, empathy, and cultural shifts in mind, The Pineapple Agency was able to garner the attention of several high-profile national and local clients to “Pre-pitch” them with creative campaign ideas and produce their own opportunities, instead of waiting for an RFP, brief or other clients to come to them. Pre-pitching was the tactic.

Outcome.

The Pineapple Agency needs no introduction in Denver, Colorado. Being one of the top experiential agencies in the state with some massive clients, they never needed to wait long for their next festival, trade show, or marketing campaign to come to them. During the global COVID pandemic, The Pineapple Agency obtained seven brand new and vetted opportunities to work with new clients around the country and locally here in Colorado. By working with CK Collective from the spring, summer and fall, TPA saw multiple weekly meetings with new clients and was able to pitch clients on new engagements that were culturally relevant, COVID-safe, full of empathy and filled with killer creative that landed The Pineapple Agency on Event Marketer’s IT List in 2019 & 2020.
