Workout of the Week - 5/13/2020

My motto is: Feel the fear and do it anyway.

Still in quarantine, kinda?

Same here. That’s cool, might be some time before we all are able to head back to an office….

But, I’m getting used to it and I’ve been crushing some great outdoor workouts with a kettlebell, pull-up bar and a whole lot of body weights (and a bit of creativity to be honest). Thank god for Denver weather!

I owe my gym, CrossFit LoDo, for this one but I fully believe a healthy and productive life starts with being healthy and productive individual outside of the workplace, as well. You don’t have to be a crazy CrossFit person to workout, but moving your body daily is super important and something I’d recommend to all my friends, family and contacts.

Anyways, here is a workout I recently tackled on my lunch break the other day. Let’s get to it!

5 Round For Time

  • 21 Russian Kettlebell Swings (72 lbs)

  • 9 Gorilla Rows (each arm with KB)

  • 400 meter run

For some instruction on the Gorilla row see the video down below.

Either way, try this workout on for size. If you don’t have a kettlebell you can use a dumbbell and do swings with that, or single arm power snatches. For the 400 meter run, use your best judgement, or use whatever is available to you.

It’s a short, quick, easy workout, perfect to tackle at lunch and get back to it!

Get after it and let me know what you think of this one. Leave a comment, question, or something else down below.

Talk soon, get after it! More weekly workout posts to come. No excuses not to exercise each and every single day. Great for the mind and even better for the body.
